ACCEPTED IN OUR PROGRAM
Pre-Acceptance
Requirements
The Applicant Resident must:
*Meet the director and/or complete a phone interview.
*Must be clear of acute withdrawal symptoms.
*Be chemical free, this will be verified
through a drug screening upon arrival.
*Provide copy of recent TB TEST
w/results prior to acceptance.
*Be physically able to work (local employment) during their stay with us.

Upon Acceptance and Arrival
.
* Drug Screen will be administered upon arrival.
* Required entry fee must be made prior to/or upon arrival.
*
Our staff Nurse RN will administer a physical exam and health
assessment.
* Resident provided a Recovery in Progress notebook
outlining all that is expected.
*
Participant residents and staff hold a welcoming/orientation meeting
with new resident shortly after arrival.
* Admissions are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
(Special arrangements must
be made with the director if expected arrival is not during those
hours)

The Recovery in Progress Program
|
Week One
During the first week each resident will be expected to spend
this time becoming familiar with the Recovery in Progress notebook which
details each phase of their recovery requirements and getting
oriented in their new environment.
(The notebook also
contains the rules and guidelines each resident is expected to
follow)
New residents are assigned a
house guide
House guides are "Seasoned" residents that assist "New" residents
during their first 30 days.
The program, as outlined in the “Recovery in Progress” notebook,
consists of three phases. |

RESIDENT.

PHONE CALLS ARE LIMITED TO TWO TEN
MINUTE CALLS PER DAY.

PHONE CALLS ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR THE
FIRST THIRTY DAYS.

MONTHLY DAY VISITS ARE THE LAST SUNDAY
OF EACH MONTH.

AFTER FOUR MONTHS WEEKEND PASSES ARE
ALLOWED.

RESIDENTS MAY BRING TRANSPORTATION
AFTER FIVE MONTHS IF
THEY ARE IN CURRENT STANDING WITH THE HOUSE AND POSSESS A
VALID
DRIVERS LICENSE, INSURANCE, ETC.
SOME
OF THE ABOVE ARE CONSIDERED PRIVILEGES
(NON-COMPLIANCE or INFRACTIONS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF PRIVILEGES)

(*) Denotes that the item/s
will be required at some point. We suggest you bring these item/s
with you or make arrangements to have them sent to you as soon as
possible. Some of
these items may be purchased with resident's allowance if
they don’t
already have them.
- * Identification card (picture
I.D.), * Social Security card
- * Medical Insurance card (if insured)
- * Shower caddy (to take your personals to and from the
shower or bath room)
- * Laundry basket
- * Personal items - deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap,
shave cream, razors,
- Sanitary item - toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.
- Blow dryer, curling iron.
- * Pens pencils, clipboards, notebooks, highlighters, etc.
- Radio, cassette, CD player
- * Alarm Clock
- * Recovery books/materials – AA Big Book, NA Book,
meditation books, personal journals,
- * Work uniforms will be required and usually consist of –
Kakki or black pants, black work shoes, or tennis shoes.
- * Casual Clothing & Sleepwear
- * DO NOT BRING skimpy or revealing clothing, as you will
not be allowed to wear these items outside the house or without
a cover up.
- * Bath robe and house slippers
- Seasonal Clothing
- Personal Fan
- Twin size egg crate for your
storage/bed. (Optional)
- * Towels and washcloths.
- * Umbrella
- * Rain Coat/Jacket
- Bed linens will be furnished
- Bicycle
- * A good attitude! H.O.W.? Honest, Open-minded, Willing!
Bear in mind that
personal space will be limited and that residents will be
sharing space (rooms) with others. Please refrain from bringing too
many items.
Washers and dryers are available. Since resident will also be acquiring
things while here,
unnecessary items must
be taken back when you go home on any visits.
